On The Perfect Prayer, I can remember My son and I had just got back in town from visiting my Mother, it was the same time Sunday eve. service started so I stop and went in. I hadn't been a Christian for very long, the pastor asked me to say the prayer, I almost sank through the floor. Never prayed in public before I think I say 4 words and nothing else came to me. Finally I just said Amen and sat down. On the way home I said something about it to my son. He said he just thought I was having a moment of silence. I was so embarrassed.

Dear Meerkat! oh I wish you felt better about your attempt at praying! The Lord is aware of your desire to talk to him, I wish I could explain how loving God is for our feeble attempts to follow him. Are you still afraid to pray in public? We have members of our congregation give talks and pray every Sunday! For Sunday School, Young Womens, Primary etc all teachers are members of our church who are not pastor's but lay members who feel a desire to share their testimonies of Christ through their service to God!
