saying hello
Hello all,
I am a crocheter from Pgh Pa. Love to do needle work(both knit and crochet). Taught myself many years ago. At this time I do not know anyone else who does these crafts. Love to play around with different yarns and patterns. Currently making crochet lace coverups for two weddings. Two of my grandsons are getting married this summer and these are for the brides in case the reception halls get chilly. I am also an avid gardener though I may need to leave the garden I have been working on for the past 3 summers. Would love to hear from anyone else in this area. Have a lovely day. Anne

Anne, Welcome to the crochet forum, we are glad you decided to join & it's very nice to meet you. You will find alot of people here with many of the same intrests as you, & so many people from all over the world who are wonderful & very nice. I have loved to crochet since my Mom & Grandma taught me many years ago. I also like you love to play with different yarns & love new patterns & I am always on the look for new interesting things to make. Your crochet lace coverups for both of your Grandson's sounds wonderful, maybe you could post some pictures of your finished pieces when you are done. I bet all who receive them will treasure your beautiful gifts. I also love to garden but a few years ago I had to move to an apartment so I don't get to garden much anymore right now but would love to get back to it hopefully someday soon. Although I don't live near you as I am clear over here in Oregon, I would hope we can become close crochet friends, & I look forward to hearing more of what you will be making or have already made. I wish I could knit but I haven't really put much time into trying to learn but it is one thing I hope to learn how to do. I am currently working on quite a few baby things as one of my Son's friends just found out they are having a boy & he has always been like another Son to me & has always said I am more like a Mom to him then his own Mom ever has been. I am so excited to have another baby to spoil lol, I have two children of my own, My daughter Victoria who has made me a Grandmama to two wonderful girls Jenny & Lilly they are my Pride & Joy, & I also have a Son who is engaged, so hopefully I will be a Grandmama soon again although he is working alot of hours so it may be awhile. I am making a baby diaper wreath right now along with a diaper cake & will be adding a train to the top which I think would be alot of fun to do. I just finished the pacifier holders last night & am working on the baby afghan & pillow to match. It is so much fun making baby stuff, I also have some hat's & booties that I finished awhile ago in all different colors to make sure I had the right color when they found out if they were having a boy or a girl, had to cover my bases lol. Anyway, I really hope that you enjoy the forum & find lots of time to crochet & of course chat on here Have a wonderful day. Your crochet friend, Patti
