    covers for chairs

I'm getting a new floor and was worried about the chairs scratching the floor. I got on line and found one post with an idea that I ran with. They crocheted a small circle to fit over the bottom of the chair. I found that it would slip off so I made mine longer and attached some crocheted ties to it and it works wonderful! The guy who was laying my floor thought it was great and might have me make him some for his chairs. He has tried putting sticky stuff on the bottom of his chairs but they come off. Could this be the answer to all of the problems for those who have wood floors and don't want their chairs to scratch their new floors?

I saw 'chair socks' last year and I think they're the perfect thing for saving wooden floors from being scratched, I'm sure some upscale stores have their own 'nice' versions of them for those who don't appreciate crochet, but I think they're adorable!

**Hi again - thought I'd just add to this post if you don't mind: here are some from Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/2239195...0-00000168c1f1

Dear Susan, Thank you so much for your response! I'm not surprised that there are more than one person out there who has figured out that you need something to protect the chair from scratching. My version I think is an upgrade to all of the ones you suggested. I've just got to figure a way to promote it and make some money? I know about itsy and that might be the way to go. thanks for your response.

I've figured out another version of chair socks that works. I've made one that has a string attached so it can be tightened around the chair. I wish I knew how to post pictures but I don't.
