Finally finished my Christmas afghan! It covers the top of my king size bed and measures 76" by 96". My son want me to make him one in garnet, black, and white now!

I've made a basket that I'm not happy with so I am going to make it again and I made a tissue box cover. Might make some more of these when I get them looking the way I want them and I'll post pics of them later.

Babs, your afghan is gorgeous and I know just how much work went into it. I just sent one to my son (not that big) in the colors garnet, black and gray. It has helped keep him warm in the North Carolina snow.

Babs, you did a fantastic job on this HUGE afghan! Wow! What a lot of work went into it!

Where are you in South Carolina? My family lives in Simpsonville, just outside Greenville. They're far away from me, I live in Alabama.

Pixieglitter, I know where Simpsonville is. Think I went there as a child to visit some family. I live in Lexington just outside of Columbia. Thank you for your kind words!

Thanks everyone for all your kind words about the afghan. It was a lot of work but well worth it in the end. And the best part is that it's for me! Now I'm going to be looking at baby afghans and other baby projects. My son's friend and his wife are expecting and I definitely want to make them some nice things. They are both his friends from high school and they have been very good to him plus I'm in the mood to make some baby things. Until I find out if the baby is a boy or girl, I'm making some tissue box covers.
