Hello! I have just joined today! I found this group in the process of looking for an English translation for a Russian pattern for a Crochet Clioche hat. There were some others looking for this back in 2013. Someone from this sight did the translation and was emailing to interested people. I would love to get a copy if anybody knows what I am talking about, they are decorated with crocheted flowers. I learned to crochet from my grandmother when I was a child. I learned to knit about 8 years ago. I got back into crochet last year when a friend asked me to crochet an amigurumi turtle, it was amazing and I was hooked! My Mom found the pattern for the little girls summer clioche hats and I have been asked to make two for two little sisters. By the way....the amigurumi turtle pattern was in Russian as well!

Hi everyone,
I am not exactly new, but this is my first post. i have crocheted since I was 6 years old. Our neighbor taught me the basics and since then Its been self teaching since then. I am just starting to really get back into it. Five years ago I got sick and pretty much lost the use of my hands, fine motor skills anyway. Last year I just decided to try again, and believe it or not it help. I can crochet now anyway. Thats just a little bit about me I just wanted to say hi.

Hi
I joined this site to communicate with others who love to crochet. I made only baby afghans for friends and coworkers. And then stopped when I moved to our retirement area. We love it in western Colorado. I started crocheting again last year when we were expecting a great granddaughter. Now I have been making hats and characters. I'm now working on Ariel from frozen. I finished a schnauzer and two elephant hats for new babies.. These are so much more fun than an Afghan.

Hoping to learn lots. Crocheted 40 years ago and then stopped. I'm retired now and ready to jump back on board.
