    stash keeper

Just wondering if I am the only one that does this. At Christmas and Thanksgiving or any other time we buy a turkey I carefully take off the plastic net bag around it and use it to stash my left over balls of yarn in. It is easy to see, easy to stick you arm down in to get the color you want and you can also hang it. I have even used fabric and put around the top to make it look nice.

Let me know what you think

Hi tj, I think that's a great idea!! I am always looking for better ways to organize my yarn even though I'm sure I don't have near as much to organize as some do :-). Thanks for the tip have a great day hugs Winnie

I just saw a Facebook post with a photo of stashing your yarn in a pillowcase. I think it might have been posted by SusansSoulShines? I thought it was a great idea!

Pillow cases would be good but you can see through the net and you would be surprised how many balls of your you can put in the turkey net.

You're right you wouldn't be able to see your stash through a pillowcase. They might work for storing big projects you want to go back to later on. I actually crocheted a large bag, kind of like a tote bag, to store a big afghan I've been working on. Seems like I've been working on it forever! LOL
