OH MY GOSH!!!!! I cannot imagine it being that cold. That's terrible, and to think I was just complaining about how cold it is here in Alabama. It's 39 degrees, windy and rainy today. I'm not complaining about the cold anymore!

Hi, I am showing my ignorance now, do you know what -47 C is compared to our Fereignheit (SP?).

My understanding of C & F that they are relatively the same when they get that cold. The wind makes all the difference when you are outside at that range.

    The Chill Improves

Well it's warmed up to -20 C, but with the wind chill it is - 30 C with blowing snow. The weather reports here are detail because they tell you how long you can be out before skin freezes. Schools get cancelled as well. Some of the homeless shelters put a call out the end of last week for donation of warm clothing. Ladyella

Please stay safe! What have you found to make so far? Keep warm!

WOW! And to think, when it reaches the 20s here, we shiver! We are experiencing our 1st winter storm for the season. This type of weather is foreign for us! Schools are closed and it's 22 degrees! I am spotting very little road travel as I view the outside world from the warmth of my home.~Butterflyrose~
