Hi Ladybug! When I'm making prayer shawls, I usually just use the DC stitch. I'll chain the width I want it and then DC in each chain, and for each row thereafter. When it gets to the length I'm wanting, I finish it off. You can always add a row of SC, a cluster stitch, or DC chain 1 in some rows here and there.

Thank you for the link, Shelley. I used baseball caps when I was on chemo. I'm crocheting winter caps for homeless/needy right now, but I think I'll make some of these and take to the hospital next time I go. Thanks again.

Thank you for the link to these patterns. I use to work with cancer patients and all the chemo hats were the same. I love ty his pattern site, they have so many styles to make. I have to go monthly to a hematologist / oncologist, I can make some of theses patterns for the patients there.

Hi, ladies. When I make scarves, I do a row of dc, then a row of sc. That way all the dc are facing in the same direction.
