I am happy to be a part of this forum. I am a self-taught crocheter (although my grandmother taught me how to do the initial chain). I have been crocheting for over 40 years and most of what I have made has gone to others as gifts. Mostly, I make afghans, but also enjoy making scarves, shawls, pillows and hats. However, I always enjoy learning new things and working with different fibers. I also LOVE combining different colors. Right now I am doing some projects in thread crochet. I look forward to future sharings and discussions.
