Hello from Oklahoma

Hello my name is Eileen. I live in a small town in central Oklahoma. I crochet and have taken a knitting class, but cant really say I can knit. If anyone knows of any groups in the central OKlahoma area I would love to learn more about it and give it a try. My husband and I are on year 3 of our empty nest. We have three adult children and four grandchildren. I also enjoy reading and swimming. I am a socialworker by profession, but not currently working.

Hi, Eileen. Nice to meet you. I knitted a couple of sweaters many years and I can still do knit and purl stitches,but casting on drives me crazy. I tried to knit a winter cap last week, but I was so slow I gave up and went back to crocheting. It sounds like you know the basics of knitting, so why don't you get book on knitting and practice. Or you can go on line and find instructions. I think I'll practice a little knitting myself. Welcome to the forum. Hope to talk to you again.
