Have You Ever Used Sock Yarn
I'm wondering about crocheting with sock yarn. Have you ever made anything with sock yarn? If so, what did you make? Was it difficult to work with?
I'm thinking it would make a beautiful scarf.

I've made bracelets with a variegated sock yarn and they turned out great. Sock yarn is soft and I think it would make a terrific scarf.

Susie Ann,
Sock yarn is a very light weight fingering yarn. I think usually you'd use like a size B or D hook? I'm guessing on the hook size. The real reason I love it is because of the beautiful ombre colors it comes in. I just wasn't sure what it was like to work with. I think it usually has a little stretch to it.

I used sock yarn. I made a scarf and a ladies sweater with sock yarn. I loved working with it.

I have made several beautiful doilies with sock yarn. I don't find it difficult to use in place of #10 crochet thread.

I made a potato chip ruffled scarf with sock yarn. I did 3 layers of ruffles that tapered down to a point at each end. It came out even better that I'd hoped and sold (at Christmas boutique) before we opened, by another vendor. I loved working with it.

Yes, I have used sock yarn and have made some pretty cute baby hats out of it . Was like a pale pink color. They turned out nicely!
