    Rectangle granny

I know it's possible, I've seen them, but what are the ratios? I tried 1 to 2 ratio, but it wasn't all that noticeable. I'm not just doing squares, but a blanket. I've done square blankets for babies and toddlers, but this is for a 9 year old and I think a rectangle would be more appropriate.
    Thanks for the help.

Hi Narria. I found this great video tutorial for a rectangle granny for a twin size bed on you tube:
There is a link to the pattern as well just below the video. Hope this is useful for you.

Just in case you want to make a Rectangle Granny with a twist, here's one call '' Drop in the Pond'' There are 5 video tutorials for this one, and a link to the pattern on Beth's Blog mentioned at the start of her first video. Here is the first video of the series:

I did an Afghan in rectangular and square granny blocks in 12x6, 12x12 and 6x6s. I think you'll love the look.

    Hello Narria,
I think you should adjust the length and with to whatever you needed to be. I know on some patterns that is not easy to do that. About 2 years ago I was making afghan for a very tall guy 6'4" tall. I did need to make that little wider and a lot longer than what was in that pattern.
Here is that photo of that afghan. Let me remind you the color combination it need to be that way. After all he is a guy! and doesn't like anything colorful! LOL
