Introduce myself and to say thanks

Thank you for the warm welcome from admin.
I'm not new to crochet, but I am to this forum. I've been crocheting off and on since my maternal gramma taught me as a child. I also knit but not very fast at it, so as a consequence (since it seems I'm always in a hurry! ) I always pick up a hook and yarn instead of a needle and yarn. She also taught me first to crochet with thread. I don't know why. But, of course today I use either.
I am a 76-year-old mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, sister and friend. I'm a native, 4th generation Texan, but I lived for many years in SE corner of New Mexico. And no, you don't need a passport, English is the first language, mail isn't inspected at Customs and it isn't an International telephone call!
Oh, you'd be surprised to know how many people think NM is a foreign country!!!
    Let's keep on hookin'!!

Welcome to the forum! My grandmother also taught me to crochet when I was around 10. Such good memories. Hubby and I were just talking about wanting to visit NM

Thank you! I envy anyone who crochets doilies. I have crocheted quite a few myself, but not in 3-4 years. Have a good day!

Thank you, Kay. You should visit NM. The northern part of the state (Taos, Red River, Santa Fe, etc is somewhat mountainous. Part of the Central ( Ruidoso, Cloudcroft) is also moutains and cool. The SE portion is desert. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets and some points of interest: Carlsbad Caverns, Roswell (aliens), White Sands, Trinity site. Enjoy!
