Hello from a new member!

Hi all, I'm new to the talk forum site but have been reading the forum newsletter for a couple of weeks now. I got an invite to post, so I'm introducing myself today. I'm new to crochet but have quickly become addicted and LOVE it! I made a few afghans in high school days, but seriously started crocheting in October of last year except....I took almost 4 months off to pack, move & get settled into a new home. I'm disabled so I've had a very hard time of it, and my husband has suffered a great deal of misery from the horrible time we had moving from one home, into temp storage and staying w/relatives for nearly a month, then settling into our current home that we hope to stay in for EVER, so please never say the 'M' (shhh, move) word around me, lol!

I'm pleased to have picked up on crochet very well, having made some beautiful pieces of work for myself & for gifts, as well as fun work that helps improve various stitching techniques. I see this is a constant learning process, pretty much forever, and that makes it even more exciting. I've done crafts of all kinds for most of my life, so was very glad to find such a fantastic hobby that quickly becomes a part of life. I was happy to learn for free using the endless youtube videos at our disposal, and I'm doing some patterns from written instruction now, too, which makes me even more proud & happy. I like to crochet some every day, and when I don't, I miss it a lot. Looking forward to meeting yall, sharing patterns & ideas, and learning a lot in general.

Thx Barbi, I'll definitely be watching email alerts for all threads on here. The newsletter is great for info and making new friends with like a minded interest, too! I saw there's a drawing coming up - can't help but wonder, what is the prize?!

I'm on a site that moves posts to the right place if someone posts them in the wrong area - do you do that on here? Thx again for the welcome!
