My Intro

I have been crocheting for, oh, well . . . a lot of years but never joined a forum. I do admit that I'm not a regular online as I ate, slept, and breathed computers during my career and I am now blissfully retired. Computers have their place but not in my daily life if I can help it. Even so, I thought this might be a good place to make new friends from who knows where! My first crochet project was a suit I made for myself when I was about 12 and when I was done with it, my mom wore it for several years. I grew up in a rural community where good old Columbia-Minerva was the brand available. Sayelle, Orlon, and others you won't see anymore. It's wonderful that we now have such a great variety of fibers to use! Thanks for this forum and the warm welcome.
