New to this
This is my first post, but I do have a specific question. I want to crotche a new grandson a blanket but I need an alligator pattern and would like to put his first name in it. Does anyone know of a site that prepares a pattern to your specifications. Or does anyone know where I can find a blanket with an alligator pattern in it? Thanks.

Hi Janet welcome to the forum, You just have to Google it and you will find lots of free patterns. I do want to let you know that I made a scarf with the alligator stich and found that 1 it takes a lot of yarn, 2 it is very heavy. So if you want a heavy blanket it will be just that.
Good luck.

Hello,
Welcome to the crochet forums! It is nice to meet you and please make yourself at home here among friends! Thanks for joining us! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I searched online for an alligator blanket, but did not come up with anything. There are plenty of free patterns using the alligator stitch, but did not find anything that is an actual alligator. I did find an applique, but it is for sale. Here is the link if you want to take a look at it:

I thought if you wanted to make a simple crochet blanket, you could add appliques to them. Just an idea for you to think about.
