What is the picture called that some of us have on the left side of the page close to our screen name? and how do you put one there? I tried but it went in my profile instead of in the posts pages. redhead/Patty

    Hi Patty,
At the top of the page, click on settings. Then on the settings page scroll down and click on edit avatar which is on the left side of the page.

Jean, I did that already, I think, and it changed the picture that was in my profile. Is the picture of you and your husband in this post called an "avatar"? That's where I want my picture to show now....not the purple rectangle under my post that has my name "patty" in it. I want to keep that one there. I want to put a picture under the name on the far left side of the page under "redhead" . Is that an avatar? or what is it called? Patty

The purple box under your name is your signature picture. So, it is possible to have the purple box, avatar, and profile picture on the site.

The picture to the left of each post is an avatar.

Wow! who is that lady!!!??? Surely that's not ME!!! Oh My!!! Yes it is ME! If only I still looked like that! Taken in about 1996 or so at a pageant for my little (he was then) grandson! He did an Elvis impression and threw the scarf out to the audience just like Elvis did. I made the backdrop out of my sewing cardboard. It stood alone with twinkling lights sticking thru the cardboard decorated to look like palm trees and a casino in the background. FUN! FUN! FUN!. BTW he won the competition and took home a trophy taller than he was! He was about 4 1//2 years old. Now he is a new daddy!
I guess I did get the avatar to work didn't I ?Thanks for all the help. Patty
Did I do it or did you (Barbara) fix it for me?

Wow! that's awesome! I learned a new "thing" today. Never too old to learn something new I guess. Can somebody show me how to post a video from my picture folder? I have looked at the "learn how to"video and still don't know how to do it. I thought it would be just like posting a picture but that doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong? redhead/Patty
