Smile Glad to be a part of this group

My name is Joan, I live in the prettiest city in the world, Savannah, GA. Being a senior Senior, have been doing crafts for well over 60 years. Never met a Craft I didn't like or try it. My favorites are crochet and silk ribbon embroidery. SRE has gotten too expensive for a fixed income, so I spend most of my leisure time crocheting. I am absolutely amazed and delighted with the ideas and creativity the generations of today have invented. When I was young, most of our crochet consisted of doilies, blankets, tablecloths, and baby layettes. How refreshing to be making jewelry, hair accessories and the like. I made my first swiffer cover the other day, and am currently crocheting a tiny bikini, (there was no such thing as a bikini when I was a girl). Thank you for allowing me to be part of your group. I am sure my experiences here will be enlightening, helpful, and hope I may contribute in a small way. God Bless, Joan
