    new member seeking help!

Hi! I'm new to the site and forums (except in college). I've been crocheting a long time, first making afghans and blankets with yarn, then learning to make doilies, table cloths and I've a few women's and men's tops in filet crochet with thread. I now want to make a summer sweater working with fingering or sock weight yarn, but am not finding any patterns that seem suitable. Any recommendations? I've tried the free pattern sites, even places like Herrshner's but am drawing a blank!

Thanks, Barbara. I have tried them but really haven't found anything that I like. I keep seeing beautiful crocheted sweaters for sale (in catalogs, for example), but no patterns. I'll keep looking though!

After ordering my OCD t-shirt, I started looking through the ETSY. com site and have found an amazing number of patterns. I highly recommend it!
