Hi Everyone,

I've been a crocheter for about 40 years. Saw a co-worker doing it and she let me copy her stitch instructions from the pattern she was working on and the rest is history. I kind of taught myself from those instructions. The first thing I made was a ripple afghan. I've made many since. One of my favorite things in crochet is working with cotton thread.

I am married and we are coming up on our 39th anniversary on Saturday the 26th. We have four sons. One has left the nest but the rest are still with us. I love having them here.

I enjoy other crafts as well as crochet, among which are knitting, cross stitch, cake decorating and jewelry making.

I'm looking forward to hearing from other members of the group.

Nice to meet you. I love the doily picture you posted. Where did you get the pattern. I like doing fillet patterns from a chart. I made a table cover with a rose pattern similar to the picture of yours. I was kind of surprised how quick it worked up. I keep it on a drop leaf table in my living room.
