The pattern is from a Japanese source, or a Japanese crochet has added some label to the photo that they took or downloaded from somewhere. I think if you give me a couple of days, I could have a pattern written for all to share.

Wow, some beautiful patterns on that site. it's a Japanese chart pattern site. Thanks for sharing. Hoping Charles Voth can do up a copy of that pattern, that would be really nice. It's not just a reg. granny square, and will take some trial and error to come close to a copy.
