    Red face New to board

Hi everyone! I am new to this crochet board and wanted to first say hello before I asked my question. I just recently took up crocheting and am now addicted to it! My grandmother started a blanket about 25 years ago and never finished. She made 5 strips that need to be sewn together. As I was starting to do that I realized that she probably meant to do 6 strips and never got to the last one. I need help figuring out her pattern. If I post a picture on this board do you thin someone out there could figure out the simple pattern and let me know? I would be so grateful! I have attached to photos of the crochet sample I am trying to learn. If you can tell that simple pattern I would be so grateful!!

Welcome to CT I hope I can help you.....Count your beginning ch (other end that photo shows) Ch_?__. Row 1: Ch3, 2dc, ch1. *skip 1 ch, 3dc, 1ch, skip 1 ch, 3dc* to end of row, finish with slst on top of ch3. You'll have 5dc clusters and 6 ch1 spaces. Row 2: Ch4, 3dc in 1st ch1 space, *ch1, 3dc in ch1 space* to end of row,end with slsp (6 cluster, 5 ch1 spaces) Repeat R1 and 2 change color when need to. Looks like 10 rows of one color then change. Hope this helps you.

SharonO: I am a little confused about starting row 1. There are 17 chains in the chain row. I do not understand how to begin the 2nd row! After I chain the first 17 chains then I chain 3 more and then do 2 dc and ch1? I don't understand how this gets me going back in the other direction, you know what I mean? I'm sorry, I am a little new at this! Thank you so much for trying to help me. Once I can figure out how to go to the first row after my chain row I think I am good to go! Thanks again!!
    Susan
