2 new poems
Just wanted to share my 2 newest poems. If you don't like them, it's okay. I write in different style of poetry with each poem, some of them rhyme, some of them rhyme a little, some don't rhyme at all. Here they are:
"Be Still"
Be still, and let your mind go free,
In the end, you will be what you want to be.
Be still, and let your body go numb,
All the time, do not play dumb.
Be still, and listen with your heart,
Know that we will never part.
Be still, and open your eyes,
Love in me, love is not a disguise.
Be still, and walk with me,
In love forever, will we be.
Be still, and take my hand,
I will help lead you to the Promised Land.
Just be still.
"We Can't Do It Alone"
I comb my daughter's hair to get it straight and to make it look nice.
The entire time she is moving, making it difficult for me to complete my task. Moving, trying to get away, or to trying to take the comb away to do it herself.
She understands what the comb does, but she is too young to it the right way by herself.
The same thing happens with other things, such as feeding her, or changing her pullup, or bathing her, or putting her clothes on the right way.
She tries to do it all by herself. She thinks she can do it better than Mommy. She can't yet.
I always love her, though, even if she upsets me sometimes. She just needs to learn to be still so I can do my job.
God is telling us, His children, to be still so He can do His job. We move so much, always trying to do things on our own. We need Him to guide us. He loves us always, we need to just be still.
