I am grateful that 1) I was able to continue to stay in my house after I retired despite the death of husband six months later.
2) that so far my health is good and I am self-sufficient (a nicer term than stubborn and very independent, LOL).
3) that I was able to help take care of my mom in the last years of her life financially and emotionally, even though she was in a wonderful facility for Alzheimers.
4) that I have a wonderful group of friends and neighbors who have now become my extended family when the "real" family has basically walked away.
5) that God believes in me enough to let me fall and get right back up again when times are overwhelming.

Butterfly Rose You just seem to have it all together. You are really grown up in the Lord--you sound so peaceful and content. I am very happy for you. That is what I want to learn as I continue on this journey with the Lord. But right now I have all to do to keep it together. I know I should be doing better. But God says when I am weak than He makes us strong so I am really asking Him for strength to believe that without doubting. And just to hang in there. That is my prayer for you too --MeerKat. Butterfly Rose please keep encouraging us
