Hi everyone. My name is Barb. I am a leftie crocheter. I taught myself to crochet about 30 years ago. I live with my adult daughter who shares my love of crocheting. Our 4 cats love her afghans. I mainly crochet simple beanies and winter hats for charity. Sometimes I will crochet small afghans and winter scarves. I live just south of the Wisconsin border in Illinois. I am looking forward to sharing ideas and free patterns I have found on the internet.

I am left handed but I hold my crochet hook with my right hand. Is that the way right handed people do it? or do left handed people hold the crochet hook in their right hand. Hmmmmm, I wonder. My gramma taught me when I was in third grade. I remember her telling me - "hold this hook like this...... " I wonder if I learned to crochet right handed and just have always done it that way.
