filet crochet with baby sport yarn
I'm not big on thread crochet but I love Bernat baby sport yarn; recently I discovered that it came in taupe so I made this sweater vest using a pattern from a Leisure Arts book "Lovely decor in Filet Crochet' by Susan Lowman. Didn't have a pattern for the vest itself - just made the back a square and then kept going in the pattern stitch over the shoulders and down the front; joined under the arms and added an edging.

Hi Billieconrad,
I love it! I'm a boater and I'd definitely wear this vest! You did a superb job of "winging it", making your own pattern! Thanks for sharing.
Hugs, Jo
