    fancy infant dress

    Hi Everyone
I am looking for a pattern to crochet a fancy infant dress or maybe a complete ensemble. Like dress, hat, booties, blanket....maybe even a Christening gown like...
Anyway something fancy with maybe pineapple pattern or mussel pattern or ruffly.

But I must first warn you I am a cheapskate when it comes to buying patterns. I prefer free ....but I will buy it if I am totally in love with the pattern.

I can read crochet charts, in fact I prefer them...

    any ideas?

Right! The only draw back of chart crochet is the guess work involved in hook size and yarn weight. Good luck, hope it turns out for you.

    Free Crochet Patterns

This is the infant dress I chose to make. I am hooking it up in #3 cotton, tangerine...it is coming pretty nice. I did change the stitch in the skirt part to all double crochet since the skirt was coming too open and I wanted a tighter looking stitch in the skirt. I will post a picture when I am done. I want to try to locate a long sleeve shirt and tights in ivory or creme color to match under it to complete the gift. Any suggestions on where I should purchase these two items?
