It depends on thread and hook. The tiny hook makes tight stitches. It depends on experience too. hand know how make tight stitches. I never thought about it. BTW I make jacquard vest too as UFO

Is there a special way you hold the thread? I have tried everything to make my tension tight. I want to make a crocheted village.

WOW! Crocheted village! It s great! I think someone in the Forum put pictures of crochet village. When I hold thread it s in my left fist and loop around finger. I am right handed. May be I make thread tight in fist? It s all depends on experience. Will you make ginger house? I love these items and crocheted ladies... not amigurumi But I make only doileis
