    My First Crochet Hat

After crocheting scarves, shawls and blankets, I finally crocheted a hat.

Very cute - love the pattern of the stitches and red and white!

Thank you! It took me quite some time to crochet it correctly!

I know what you mean. Like you, I had done lots of "straight row" crocheting, scarves and afghans. The first hat that I made took me some time. I kept not being sure I was doing it right, and counting and counting again. After I had made a few, I began to move a lot quicker. I made many hats this year for Christmas gifts! Hang in there and keep it up.

That is a really cute hat. That is my favorite thing to make, once you catch on you can have one done in 2 or 3 hours, that is my kind of project.
