What Crochet or Knitting Hooks Do You Use Most Often?
There are so many crochet hooks used for different projects. Many times, I am using the H crochet hook for projects.
What crochet or knitting hook do you seem to use most often for projects?

I use mostly a j hook or h hook I crochet tight so I can see my stitches easier with them

Usually a J or K when I don't need a specific hook size. Lately I have been working with bulky yarn so I have upped it to an L, M or N.

Wanted to add I am a Susan Bates hook gal. I find those, with those hooks, the yarn flows more easily and doesn't catch.Last edited by LI Roe; 01-03-2014 at 05:20 AM. Reason: add comment

I use my G & H hooks a lot. For my thread I mostly use a 7.

Most of the time I use my I hooks. Of the brands I've used, I find the Boye the best for me. I like how the hook is more pointed to go through the stitches easier and the hook is deeper than most other hooks I've used so they hold the yarn better with less slipping. Right now I am working on a baby blanket with two yarns so I'm using my L hook and it's a winner in my book. I also like the Boye knitting needles....for me they have the best points....not too sharp and not too dull. HUGS, Shelly

I find I mostly use and I hook and occasionally I use a K hook. But prefer the I hook.

I do not know what letters you are talking about... My hook is 0.7 mm for #30 thread.

The letters they are talking about are hooks designed for yarn instead of thread. Those are usually aluminum, plastic, wood, bamboo. If I am correct, yours are steel hooks and they usually have numbers (I have a couple of sets of steel hooks from my mom and they are numbered). Hope I didn't confuse you.

All hooks I saw in my life were in millimeters... So were knitting needles
