Hi from sunny Florida!

I have been crocheting for many years. I enjoy making baby afghans, doiles, and sweaters for my granddaughter. I am also an avid quilter. I teach piano lessons to ages 7 and up. I am 72 years old and try to stay active by crocheting, knitting, and making quilts.

Glad to have you join us. My, but you are busy! Envy you being able to play the piano and being able to teach lessons! Are you originally from Florida?

I live in Arkansas and while it's sunny at the moment it is not as warm as it is there.

Hi Patti,
Thank you for making me feel at home. I am not originally from Florida. I was raised on a farm in Pennsylvania. I went to college in Tennessee. I met my present husband at college and we were married in 1959. We lived in Chattanooga for several years and moved to Florida in 1970. We have been here since then and have 2 married daughters and four handsome grandsons and one beautiful granddaughter. I retired in 2000 from a tourist magazine where I was in computer graphics. So, I am able to enjoy all the fun things to do in crocheting and knitting. Actually I have been busier since I retired.

The weather is truly beautiful today. It is around 79 degrees and sunny. We are suppose to get much needed rain on Friday. Talk to you later.
