    I'm a new member

I am a mother of three and grandmother of 5 girls five and under. A sixth grandchild will be born in March 2014. My mom taught said I wasn't really interested in crochet and knitting when I was young, but I did embroidery and sewed most of my clothes starting in 9th grade. When I became a grandmother 3 weeks before I turned 65, I began to teach myself crochet through books and videos. My husband and I have been married 45 years.

Hi mkmomma glad to hear from you. It is wonderful to become a grandmother though mine are far away. That is great that you could teach yourself. I never seen so many different kinds of crocheting there is. I have learned allot in these past two years and still learning. I did not crochet for over 30 years. I quit when I was in my twenties, now I am making things for my husband's grandchildren for he has many. I like making prayer shawls I have made many for the women in my husbands side of the family. Thank you for sharing for you have many talents which is good.
