    Baby dress and Headband

Just finished the headband yesterday. This is a surprise gift for a neighbor who had her first granddaughter.

It is for a 12 month old baby girl. I made a dress in pink for my great niece similar to this one.

Very Nice Spoula. What size hook did you use? and how many chains across to start?

Hello Jean Marie, Thanks for the compliment. This is my 3rd dress using this pattern I found on Ravelry.

I used a G hook I chained 61 for a 12 month old baby. I don't add the shell at the bottom of the dress as it makes the dress too heavy in my opinion for an older child it would be fine.

The photo below is not a picture of my dress but the one on the pattern but I did make my first dress in Pink and it looks like this photo so I am very happy it turned out the same

This is the pattern I used. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/baby-toddler-dress

That is a beautiful dress, Spou. The pink version seems to have pleats. Your version looks fine without the shells at the bottom.

Will the neighbour ever be surprised!

Hello MeToo, Nice to have you back with us. Thanks for the compliment. The dress is made of all shells there are no pleats.

I think the lady will be very surprised to receive the dress. She is really a very nice lady. She is the lady that asked me to make a baby blanket for her but instead I taught her how to make one as I think it would mean more to her son if it came from her. She did a really nice job only a little crooked but a nice edge fixed that little glitch.
