Somehow I already thought it would be a boy. I know for boys there are sweaters and vest and hats what other things can I knit or crochet for a baby boy?

How about a nice little jacket? I myself love the work sock colour combo. For anything!

If you go to the top of the page and click on Projects and Comments you will see other people's attempts with the same garment.

Here are some patterns to knit. Some awfully nice things here.

    Some more patterns, crochet only:

Whatever you make, the child will treasure it. I still have a simple crocheted jacket that a friend of mine made for my son over 20 years ago. It is still hanging in my closet. It is maroon with dark blue trim.

Hi MeToo, Thanks for the links. I looked at some of these and found one on Ravelry but cannot get to the pattern just the description of the jacket. It was a knit dark green cable sweater DK4490. How do I get to the pattern?
I have some sweater patterns from when my grandson was born 5 years ago. I can always make some of those but just wanted something different.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions from you and Jean Marie.

So I guess you have to pay for the pattern (instantly downloadable they say).
