I can use a Bates hook. One time I needed a size E and that was all that Joann's had so I bought it. I've used it, but it's not my favorite. If they...

The cushioned handles are nice, but you're right - the manufacturers cover some of the shaft with the cushion. The only one that finally figured this...

I've always preferred Boye because they have a much longer shaft than the Bates hooks. I'm very dependent on the shaft to make my stitches even...

Aluminum hooks start with size B 2.25mm; as you go up the alphabet, the hook goes up in size. Anything less than 2.25mm are steel. Steel hooks are...

Hi Spoula! It's not unusual that as we age (like me!), either the arthritis or the eyes prevent us from using the steel hooks - the stitches are...

Hello chergram, I love to crochet but do not do a lot with the cotton #10 threads. I find it a bit hmmm, frustrating at times. LOL! But if you would like to do a few with me I would be willing to do a swap with you. What size squares or patterns were you thinking of? Do you have any color prefferrances? (please excuse my spelling) Please let me know if you would like to do this. Cotton threads would probably be a separate item from regular yarns but I am not sure. Thanks for your time. Later Gater! Kit
