    Florida

    Hi All,
I hope this doesn't make someone jealous but just to let you know my husband bought a place in Florida. We're going to leave on March 16 and be there for 1 week to check out the place and then starting next winter we're going to be snowbirds.

Hello Jean Marie, What are snowbirds? Will you move to Florida or just stay there in the winter?

    Hi Spoula,
Snowbirds are people who go south for the winter and come back in the summer.

OH, I thought that is what it might be. So you are exchanging snow and cold for heat and thunder storms (ha).

Oh, Jean Marie, I am soooo happy for you two!! What city in Florida? Will you be there 6 months and home 6 months? I don't blame you for wanting to get away from the cold winters in Michigan!

We usually go south, and then west during the winter. This year, we went to Florida for only 10 days and came back home. Our 19-year-old granddaughter, Kayla is living with us for a while and we are loving having her here. It is such a special time and we don't want to miss a bit of it. But, we did want to see our sisters. Both of us have a sister and brother-in-law in FL. We decided to omit our usual Arizona and Colorado trip, so we can spend more time with Kayla. She is such a good kid and we hope she stays with us until she gets married.

Anyway.....congratulations on buying your Florida home!!! I hope you will love it!

    ~~ Hugs, Jo

    Hi Jo,
Thanks! We're going to Lakeland, Florida for 5 months starting next winter and soon we'll be going for a week or more. It'll be an adjustment.
