The hook is pretty but doesn't look like it would hold up under my grip. I would be very upset with myself if I broke it at that cost.
Well, it is made of ash. That is the same wood used for baseball bats. Hard as hard as can be. But portions of the hook do look sort of thin, don't they... :D
