Hi Nikki, I have been making baby and toddler dresses for friends and family. I am currently working on a Chevron dress for the 3 year old. Will post a picture when I finish it.

Aww wow, I'd love to see it when completed!!! I'll do the same with my hat
Lovely to connect
Hi Nikki,
I've been making unicorn hats and I made a hat for a boy that when I put ears on it it looks like Shrek or an Ogar. I have another unicorn hat to make and a hat that's not a unicorn to make. For this one I found a pattern for a daisy duck hat but I'm not sure if that's what she wants. The unicorn hats have a unicorn around the center of the top of the hat and flowers and leaves in front of the unicorn and ears in back of the unicorn and the hat has ear-flaps with a crochet edge on the hat and ties to tie the hat that are braided. I've made different size hats.
By the way, Nice hat
are you making the earphones on the hat?
3 of the hats I made. The other ones are white unicorn hats like the one pictured. My neighbor wants these for Christmas presents.

Hi! I am making amigurumi gifts for the holidays. Just completed a funny crocodile wearing a bow tie. Now working on a cute hedgehog. A bear, reindeer and elephant already done and put away. imalefty
Hi.
Thanks Nikki
Are you putting ear-phones on the hat you're doing?
Hey, those hats are cute. Looks like a lot of work adding the features to the basic caps.
Me, I am working on a pair of mitts and a short cape (ie, capelet).
Thanks MeToo!
This is how I crocheted the dragon's eyes. It shows how to do the eye-lids on here too. I'm pretty sure I made the eye-lids a little bit longer.
How To Make The Dragon's Eyes - YouTube
I found this on the computer for the nostrils:These are another chore too. (I kid, I kid). Again, make sure if you make two of them unless you decide that you want a deformed dragon.
In a mr, sc 6
round 1: ch 2, dc in 4 stitches, sc in 2 stitches
Finish off and weave in the ends.
This is how they made the dragon's mouth How To Make The Dragon Mouth - YouTube but I didn't make this one. I made something like the eyelids but chained 11 and sc across (10 sc's) decreased on both sides and didn't cut the yarn but chained 11 again and did the same thing - sc across every row, ch 1 for ea row and decrease on both sides. I don't know how many I chained for the tongue - just how long I thought the chain should be and ch 1 and sc across every row, and decreased on one side. The other side wasn't decreased just straight. So it would curve on one side.
This is the dragon's ears How To Make Dragon Ears - YouTube but it's only a flat circle that's folded. I made 1 flat circle and then made 1 more rnd but thought it was too hard on the hands and didn't make another one and just chained so long (I don't know how many chains) and sc'd on both sides like I was making a slipper and kept crocheting around until the sides were even - about 4 rnds.
The eyes, eyelids, pupils, nostrils, mouth, tongue, and ears I put on a hat for a boy. When I put the ears on it looked like Shrek or (someone said an ogar).
I didn't make this dragon. Fierce or Sleepy Dragon Pattern Part One If you click on one of the videos in the pattern, you'll see more videos listed - even fire for the dragon
I have finished this item recently Attachment 26501
Now I have started one filet doily but my grandson is here. I do not have time to crochet
Hello Larisa, Beautiful and stunning work always from you. Just amazing your talent. I wish I could so what you do.
I love your work.
I also know what it is like to have toddlers around. I had my little grandaughter for 3 days last week.
How is your grandson he is not a baby any longer is he? He should be walking and getting into everything.

@kl1000. Your red cloth is gorgeous. It seems that most projects of this kind are usually in a neutral, light colour. But the effect with your choice of red is beautiful.
Nice Work!!
Hi. I'm currently working on 3 blankets/afghans. One is just straight linked double crochet in red and blues for a great nephew. The other two are from Hooked on Sunshine Phoenix. The two phoenix blankets I'm doing in tandem, and the other one is for when I don't want to have to think about reading a pattern. I also make dishcloths when I just need something to do with my hands and can't dedicate any time to get out the bigger projects.
Attachment 26659
here are the two Phoenix blankets to round 20.
Hello JustDeb, Those are nice squares. How big are the squares? Will the blankets be square or are you making squares that you will crochet together? How long does it take to make a blanket like that? I don't think I could do one of those big blankets.
You are doing a great job so far. I would like to see the blankets when they are finished.
Spoula
the blankets are square. this is just to round 20. There are 108 rounds in this blanket. I'm not sure how I'm going to manage as it gets bigger but a lot of people are making them for king sized beds, so it's doable. How long it takes varies. If I can keep my momentum I hope to have them both done by the new year, but that is just a very optimistic guess.
Hello JustDeb, I reread my post to you and it sounds like the 3rd degree interogation. Sorry I just saw the pretty squares and was wondering how long that would take to make a blanket. Working in a square is doable but I don't like to do mofits that you have to stitch them together. If you can finish both of those blankets by the New Year you are my new hero.
Can't wait to see the finished product.

Yup I did

While the answer may be a bit cliche, what am i NOT working on? lol
Manipulating a shawl pattern; extra-tiny doilies that are going to get stitched together for something larger; thread squares for what is originally a blanket pattern that will be significantly smaller (and what it will be i dunno).
Then, of course, are all the other projects lined up and waiting to go: a shrug that i have to pay attention to the pattern and not a mindless hookin; hibernated flowers that i'd like to get more of the yarn i used to make more to piece them together to make something larger.
Recently "finished" (i never block my projects *sadface*) are a couple of shawls that allowed me to get to use hook sizes i don't normally use. i'm a little frustrated as i feel i'm stuck on shawls (that i never wear) at the moment, and should probably look into seeing about donating them somewhere (assisted living, etc)
Are there pictures? Of course not! i'm a hooker not a picture maker! When i do get pics up, they tend to be on Ravelry (if you are interested in takin a gander), as i have no intention of flooding this poor forum with SO MANY projects!
I finished the hooded scarf and the wheelchair wrap, etc. and knitted up some thick yarn with crocheted edging and I'm working on working with ribbon yarn for the first time.

I have been crocheting items for our 6th great grandchild, a boy, who will be born in August. I have made a hooded sweater, two blankets, a cocoon and hat and one blue bootie! Need to make the other bootie. Almost finished with the second blanket.

I will post a photo of the second blanket when it is finished.

Nice work Jo! but that sweater looks big for a baby and I see you made some filet teddy bear squares for the blanket. I've made some filet teddy bear squares out of baby yarn. What type of yarn did you use for the filet teddy bear squares?
Hi, I like all these items. Your sweater is so cute real boyish looking. I always make baby things witth baby colors but I noticed others are using darker colors and I really like them. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.
6th great grandchild how wonderful you get to live long enough to see your family grow.

Thank you Jean Marie. I made the sweater larger so he will be able to wear it in the Fall and Winter. Maybe even next year too, if he doesn't grow too big for it by then.
The teddy bear afghan is not made with squares. It is a filet pattern you work continuously from bottom to top. I used "I Love This Yarn" for it. It is soft.
Thank you Spoula for your kind words. Yes, we have been blessed to be able to live to see these great grandchildren. Hope we can live long enough to see some of them get married! It would be wonderful to see who they grow up to be!
Here is the second afghan and also a toy I made.

I don't know why the photos are upside-down and sideways. They aren't that way on my computer. Oh well....you can at least see them. My granddaughter loves giraffes, so I made these for her baby. Her baby shower was last Saturday and she loved all of the things I made.
Hi Jo,
Good job. That stuffed giraffe must've taken a long time as I see it's taller than the computer. Where did you get the pattern for the filet giraffe? I've done some filet teddy bears and I followed a picture and used the teddy bear filet pattern to do a filet crochet of a duck. Filet crochet patterns are hard to find. Did you see the pictures of the illusion scarves I did?
Hello Dancingbaehr, Very cute and I love the other blankets you made also.
Spoula
Thank you, Jean Marie! The giraffe is about 14 inches tall. It was fun to make and didn't take very long at all. I found the filet giraffe afghan pattern on Pinterest. But, it was just the opposite of what I made. The background was solid and the giraffe was open work. I just re-mapped the pattern to be the way you see it. I did a bit of frogging, where I messed up, but finally got it right!
I have made the filet duck afghan before and it turned out great. The pattern is on Pinterest. No, I haven't seen your scarves yet, but will look for them now.

It’s Christmas crocheting time for me! Have an afghan started, amigurumi snowman ready for beads and buttons then assembled and starting first of 15 ornaments. Found an adorable giraffe amigurumi pattern which goes on the make for Christmas list. Just completed baby blanket for niece’s little boy due later this month.
Hello Imalefty, You are so busy I hope you get all that done by Christmas.

Hi, I am making a Mile-A-Minute Afghan for someone. I found these pins that quilters use to hold the fabrics together when sewing. These are easier to crochet the sides when I put the panels together. Interesting how after so many years of doing things, that one finds something to make it a little easier!
