Hey Y’all I’m Finally Back! YAYYYYY!!!

Hey y’all I’m finally back! It’s been a long time and I’ve had so much going on in my life. Last year I had the opportunity to retire early at 54 and I jumped at the chance. I’d worked over 26 years as a government civilian federal employee for the Army and Navy. I moved from Huntsville, Alabama to South Carolina to be near my family. I started a new job in August 2019 and now I’m working for a large medical practice in Greer, South Carolina. It’s a wonderful place to work and I’m so blessed to work there.

Even though I haven’t been very active on these boards, I never stoped crocheting most every day. It’s still my passion! I’m looking forward to reconnecting with my old friends here and getting to know everyone else!!

Hi Shelley,
I've been crocheting a lot of unicorn hats and I'm working on a hat that's not a unicorn and a have another hat to do that's not a unicorn and I have a unicorn hat to finish and I might have another unicorn hat to do. What are you making these days?

Hey Jean Marie,

I’ve been making mostly big throws and afghans. Last summer I made a ton of what are called “skinny scarves.” They’re more narrow and longer. I’m glad you’re enjoying making unicorn hats! They’re so popular now.

It’s nice hearing from you and I hope you’re doing well.

Hi, Shelley! It’s nice hearing from you! It’s been a while! Glad everything is going well! I’Ve retired, too. Still crocheting. Our oldest grandson is 19 & now a sophomore in college. Our 2nd grandson is a freshman in high school, and our granddaughter is in 5th. Aren’t you glad I only have 3? LOL. The years have flown! Glad you’re back!
