Garden Romp Afghan
Over the Christmas holidays I had the flu then just about chopped off my finger. After a week and a half of no hooking I couldn't take it any more. I decided to use up my Red Heart Super Saver scraps to work up maybe a 12 inch afghan block but once I got started I decided to keep on going. I've made my original and a baby version. The written pattern is listed in my Ravelry shop. Ravelry: Debi's Garden Romp pattern by Debi Dearest
Now I will make another one to take pictures, measurements and yarn amounts to put together as an ebook.

Your afghan is just lovely. Hope your finger's healing up.

Really a great job. I would get lost making it. The colors remind me of a flower garden. Get better soon.
-
It's been almost a month since I cut it, it's healing well but still tender ^_^

How did you cut your finger? I'm sick now and have been crocheting an afghan and the last few days I wanted to do it but no energy. I'm hoping to get back to it soon. Hope your finger is better. Sue

I was cutting lettuce for tacos, it's been almost 2 months and just about better, only the little slice I made in my nail has to finish growing out. Hope you are able to find your CroJo (thats like crochet mojo lol) again soon. ^_^
-
Never say never :P I will be making a photo tutorial that will really help to make it easy.
-
I have thought about doing it in my local fair, but the full sized is too big under their standards. I could put my baby sized one in but I have to find a display box and insurance to do that. it's a thought though ^_^
-
It takes a while for some cuts to heal. Your afghan is just gorgeous. Did you have a pattern or your own pattern. It looks kind of hard you did a great job. Sue
-
thank you ^_^ it's my own design, I made it up as I went. I think the hardest thing is the rainbows, I'll Put together a photo tutorial to make it easy for everyone.

Hi Debi,
Very pretty. Wow! You do very beautiful work.
-
I just love the colors in the baby one.
-
I love your afghan and would like to try a mandala one like the ones you make. It is so pretty.
-
I am just wondering if this is layered or crocheted all as one piece. It looks pretty complimented to me but I really am in love with the mandalas. I tried briefly to do one but didn't quite figure out how to make it. I usually look at a pattern and just do it my own way but it never turns out like the original. LOL> Patty

I posted an answer to your post but I don't know where it went! I will try again later I am tired an also hungry now . It is really so gorgeous! Patty
-
Do you sleep? These must take you hours. Such beautiful work you do and you have a creative mind. It is taking me forever with a hdc on an afghan.

Wow! It's absolutely gorgeous!!! I need to get busy and make a mandala afghan. But when I do I'm keeping it for myself...I think it would be a lot of counting and maybe a headache to do....
-
It is worked all as one piece and there is some layering to it, I am working on a photo tutorial for it but have had to postpone my release date due to my health an also damage due to a tornado.
-
I'm so sorry about your troubles!!!! I'll be praying for you.
-
Prayers also from me. I can see you are a strong woman.
