hey michelefg welcome to crochet talk sorry i cant help you i cant read them either. someone will come along and help you
google how to read diagramed patterns, it seems most of them are going to be put out that way from now on. I had a hard time myself, learning to read the patterns back in the day, and then change to diagrams, harder as you age, learn quickly, and you will find they aren't so bad after all. Just take your time.
