I have never understood reading patterns very well. This helps some, but he did use an easy pattern to explain. Is there any way to find out what the name of the pattern he is using is? That chart I'd like to try! And thank you for posting the help video, it was very informative.

Thanks so much! How interesting! That means when a pattern has me stumped, I can try to figure it out with a diagram. Can't wait to give it a try. Have not had much luck with trying to figure a sequence of stitches, but this should work quiet well for rows, on lined paper. Thanks again, shelah
