Beginning of yarn ?

I used to have no problem to pull the start yarn but in the last few years it is difficult specially if it is mid price yarn, I try to get to the middle with my fingers and manage to pull a lump . :mad: And I had at time found a knots to join to yarn.
Am I the only one having this problem ?:confused: If I buy good quality yarn it doesn't happen but for toys and kids stuff I prefer man made yarn more resistant to kids !
I do not post I often or almost not at all. I do not have much time to write, but I read the news letters that I like I will not promise to do it more I have so much things to do I am 72 and had accumulate a lot of craft stuff over the years and made a New Year promise 3 years ago to use all I have accumulated and it is a lot !And I hope to still have many good years to go and go through all my STUFF especially when pain doesn't keep me from it too much.
But knitting ,crocheting, painting helped me stay sane over the years of chronic pain.

I find the same problem. I hope there are those on this forum that can tell us why the cheaper yarn has this problem.

The way I find the beginning of the yarn is to find the ending of the yarn, which should be wrapped around the outside. If it's on one end, then the beginning yarn is on the other end. Sometimes, I have to dig it out and pull a great pile of yarn out before I find it, but eventually I do. Good luck!
