My second shawl with the lace stitches

I made the second shawl with another swap yarn. I drop the dc stitch in the pattern and do only the spider stitch. take me a while to work with only 2 skin of cotton yarn. so I add some other color for the border. I think I will keep this one for me
I will want to try to make another one with rectangular way? since I have some yarn to play with anyway I really like to work with this stitches even though it frustrate me many to count it but I do make something out of it

Thank you Shirley. please don't give up just yet please. you can always improvised your way out of anything? I had so much problem with the pattern written instruction . I can never made /follow the instruction there because it never happen? I am keep frogging and frogging to some point that my yarn has to be trash it.....? I switch another yarn and decide I would just go with my way of thinking and try to make it out without following the direction in that pattern (my first one) and it came out as a shawl? see I only follow till row 7 than I took from previous row and copy that way - another word I repeat the row 6 after I finish row 7 and go to row 5...4..
.3...2...1 and the game begin again.....so I think the whole shawl of mine is work out 7 rows repeat? do I make any sense to you? I wish you can come to our meet -up group at Arlington Heights Library first Saturday monthly ? (just kidding) I know is too far to even try. but that still hope...maybe some day should you need to come to IL for some reason and we can meet and share or vice versa? I always dream to visiting Washington? I have not been to many stats in America? but did travel world destination to many other country - I was an escort travel agent many moons ago. always lead a group of people to other country because the need of interpreter for the group....but I am happy to retire now and enjoy my peaceful living

Thanks, Ivy. I will try your suggestion because after row 7 was where the trouble began!!! I absolutely would love to come see you and have your help! Perhaps some day? Sounds like your traveling was interesting and fun. Now it is nice just to be home isn't it?

So to make sure I understand, you finish the first 7 rows, then go back 6,5,4,3,2,1. Then you start over with Row 1 right? So when you start again, you have two Rows 1 or just start with 2 because you already have the 1?

Sorry just want to be sure! I love the pattern and how your shawl turned out and really want to do it. Thanks, Shirley

Oh....I am so embarrass . not really know how that count? I just know after the 7 row you need to look back and see which row you duplicate than you just take the next row follow? example - if you do the 3dc than ch7 3dc = you are on 7 row than the next row is 3dc ch3 slst in the 4 ch to the ch7, ch3 3 dc....so on...you should able to always look back to the previous row to match what your present row you are working at? will this help? you may find the mistake take place when you finish the whole row and really to start/continue working than found one spot is missing some thing? because it won't match - there is where make me frustrated ....but it is easy to find the error and corrected - another reason I like this stitches (is easy to fix the mistake). hope this help? don't hostage to question me again please. you will give me the opportunity to learn more how to fix the error...and I appreciate very much - because I am useful
