Here's the Tunic I designed and crocheted.

I am still thinking about sewing up the sides. And believe it or not.... it is quite warm!

That is lovely! And I'm impressed with your skills. Two things about it I couldn't do - design it, and crochet it, lol. Nice work.

For what its worth, about the sides. I would just stitch it closed a little above and below the waist. I think it looks cute with the cut-away on the hip area.

That is what I am thinking, too. but If I leave it the way it is I can use the belt in a different way by putting it through the crochet to make a different look, or use the belt but leave the back free. I've seen several tunics like that.

As I am looking at the neckline I'm thinking it might stretch so I should prolly stitch it a little closer on each side.

What you made is actually a tabard. Frankly, I think I would like the sides closed as you would still be able to pull it over your head. It is very stylish. I like the rose-patterned filet. Fillet work takes a lot of time. What type of yarn did you use?

I used Aunt Lydia's Cotton thread #10. I find filet crochet very easy for the most part. You do have to pay attention but I love it.
