I did them in burgundy thread for my friend Maryanne's birthday button ons and your pattern was perfect. You saved me on that one. I'm trying to find the picture. If I do find it I'll put it here for you to see.

Just too cute!!! Your zoo animals are just precious and I know hubby is very proud. I have a question for you. My grandson has decided to challenge me to make him an ocelot. Have you seen a pattern for one? I've googled and seen pictures of real ocelots, but no crochet ones. His birthday is in June so I have a little time.

Looked at the ocelot. Gorgeous. What if you crocheted a carmel cat (I think that is the background colour) and then embroidered the distintive "spots/markings" on, or cut out of fabric and sew or glue (if that works?)
If it does Have to be crocheted. I saw a gorgeous pillow case/cover thingy at Walmart yesterday in the (what I think was ocelot print) . And was thinking you might sew one up if you got the exact material?
