    Beach or Pool cover up

Finally finished this pool cover up. Made it with #3 yarn and a " H" crochet hook.
I used the crochet "V-Stitch and the inverted V- stitch it looks lacy.

I didn't have a pattern to use so I just made some measurements of width and the length I wanted and used those numbers. I had enough yarn to make two little cap sleeves for a finished look.

    Hi Spoula,
It looks nice. Is #3 yarn the same as fingering yarn? You mentioned inverted v stitches before but I'm not familiar with that. What is an inverted v stitch? I get the fact that's it an inverted or upside down v but how do you crochet it?

Hi Jean Marie, Thank you for the nice compliment. Yes #3 yarn is a fingerling yarn.

You know how to do the "V" stitch (DC, ch 1, dC in same stitch)
    this would be Row 1;
Row 2 you would do the Inverted V' Stitch these stitches are worked on the row 1 V stitch.
You start by a YO insert your hook in the first DC of the previous row 1, pull through 2 loops on your hook hold the other 2 loops on you hook and yo then insert your hook in the other dc and complete your DC, then chain 2 and repeat this row by doing the inverted V stitch in each of the previous row of regular V stitch.
    I hope this makes sense.

I found this video for you but it is not the way I did my inverted stitch or described the way I did mind but it is a good video to help you see how it is done.

I understand your directions. Thank you. The video you posted is a inverted Y stitch, not a inverted V stitch but that would be interesting too.

Hi, Yes, I know the lady in the video was calling it a Y stitch but it was the only one I could find looking like my inverted V stitch. They look very much alike and made similiar I just though she was calling it a Y because that is what it looked like to her silly me.

I'm glad you understood my instructions I think you would like those stitches together they are pretty.

    Hello Jean Marie,

No, that is not how I did mine in her video it looks like she did a FPDC.

I just did the plain inverted "V" stitch over my previous row.

I gess there are many different ways you can do them I like the one I did it is simple and fun to do.

    Hi Jean Marie,
I went back and looked at the post of my pool cover up. You can't see the "V" stitches very well. Below is what the stitches look like when you do one row of regular V stitces and the second row is the inverted stitch.

The top is the inverted stitch and the bottom is the regular stitch. I hope this makes sense.

    /\ inverted V stitch Row 2
\/ regular V stitch this is (dc ch1 dc) Row 1
