    meremaid tail blanket

Here is a mermaid tail Blanket I made for my great niece. It was suppose to be for her birthday last month but as someone else got her something similar I decided to hold it till Christmas. It's Finding Nemo meets The little Mermaid.

thank you both, it was a lot of fun to make.

Yes Susann, the back ground (ocean) is a shell stitch pattern that I found years ago in an afghan pattern book and the characters I googled various pics and then crocheted the characters based on the pictures I found.

    Hi Murnah,
Wow, did you have a picture to follow or better yet a pattern? You even have a zipper and lining. The characters are cute . You did a really good job.

Thank you all, I appreciate the comments.

No Jean Marie, no pattern I work better without a pattern though sometimes I'll start with a pattern then put my own spin on it. I did use cartoon pictures of the characters that I googled that I used as my pattern. I decided to put a zipper in it and make it more like a sleeping bag because my great niece Victoria is only three and I thought it would be easier for her to get in and out of. I'm about to start one for her brother, it's going to be a shark tail blanket. Wish me luck
