Double Wedding Ring Thanks to Teri

I made this afghan for my DILs birthday in December, I started it in May . Thanks to Teri for sharing her beautiful afghan that she made and posted here, gave me the desire to try it. Had to set aside and work on different projects for Christmas. I can never have just one thing on the go...lol. There are four different pieces to crochet and than put together. So many ends to tie in. I have never struggled so much with a project to behave as this one. I had to make some changes in how many stitches on some pieces to take some of the bumpiest out of it. I finally got it to lay a little flatter. There were times I was ready to quit and start a different pattern, but I have never let something beat me. But in all honesty , half way through my heart was no longer in it. I just wanted to get it done. I was happy that once it was done and washed , I laid it on the bed and it laid pretty flat. The end reward was my DILs reaction to it. she Loved it and cuddled up in it and that was worth all the aggravation. It was not going to judged of juried so all is well. I would never , did I say NEVER, make this afghan again. Although I really want to make it as Quilt and I know I will...Thanks for looking. Hugs Davena

Looks like a lot of intricate work. For all your struggles it turned out quite nice. You should be proud.

Thanks , it is only crocheted, no knitting in it. You can find the pattern here.

Looks really nice and I also have the fabric to make as a king size quilt just getting a little break from all the holiday sewing. I am planning to make some granny lap afghans I like to do those I call it my mindless relaxing afghan it's cold now so a perfect time to do. I like to use three colors so not a lot of tying in. Your wedding ring is very pretty but it must have been tough to make lay down. I love your colors makes a great job.
