It's done!

Here is the coat finished with buttons made of washers and a tiny bead in the center of each button. Whew!!! This has been a real project. I had intended to line it but I won't do that now. Maybe when I am not so busy later I might attempt to do it but not now. My son took the picture for me and yes that's me. I was still in my PJs so I just rolled up the pant legs and I don't think you can see them. I hope not. This is one of my lazy days...I haven't gotten dressed all day. No use anyway with all that snow out there again. I haven't even been to the mailbox today. Then my son came in and said we have a flat tire that won't air up so that means take it off the car and have it fixed somewhere. Oh well I guess that's life! Catch you all later! Patty

Wow! That was a lot of work! Nicely done .... nice colors too. Your improvised buttons turned out wonderfully! Thanks for the photos. By the way, my hubby & I stay in our jammies many days, if we don't need to go out! Good for you!!!

Love the coat! You did a fantastic job. I've been wanting to make one of those, I really like the pattern no big holes like some other granny squares. Those buttons are so inventive!! Love your idea! Just amazing, love it, love it, love it. Carol
